Fly Friendly Best Practices

Please be mindful of both safety and noise when entering and departing from KGAI. Follow all best practices to reduce noise. Runway 14 is preferred. If practical, and within manufacturor's guildlines, reduce RPM after lift off. Avoid intersection take offs. Climb at best rate, not best angle. Aeronautical Information Manual minimum suggested cross wind turn at 700 feet above ground level or 1,239 feet at KGAI. Please do not conduct pattern work between the hours of 8pm and 8am local. To limit pattern congestion we ask that no more than three aircraft conduct touch and go operations at one time.

Please take a look at the Pilot’s Guide to Montgomery County Airpark (GAI) for more information about GAI, including noise abatement procedures and a map depicting noise-sensitive/congested areas. Download the Pilots Guide
